I’ll be heading to Colorado for the first time ever for my bachelor party in March. I’ve been snowboarding since I was 15 but something has always come up in the past when I have had an opportunity to go to Colorado. When I land in Denver, it will be the 24th state that I have visited. After our honeymoon I will be up to 25. So how about you? Anyone tag em’ all?

27, I think, though one of those would be just connecting through the airport there (Philly). All the rest by road. I may have been to NY when very young - not 100% on that. Whenever I take a trip up to visit CalzoneGolem and 505Turbeaux, etc., that’ll be another 5-6 to the list.

Quite a few counting States I’ve driven though, mostly from going racing. Still lots to see, I’d especially like to check out Montana, Idaho, Maine, and New Mexico.

My wife had the same argument. We agreed on being there >8 hours for a purpose other than transit. Not perfect, but good enough.

I’d say that’s pretty good for a Canadian. I’ve only made it to Montreal and Mont-Tremblant in Canada.

Not bad. I’ve never seen America’s Wang in person. Texas was only a couple stops at DFW but I count it. I spent more than two hours in Texas and got drunk each time. That counts as a visit.

I’ve been to the US twice. First time was to Florida because Disney World is bloody amazing and the second was to New York but we stayed in New Jersey because 1/8th the price.

Main things I took away is that:

Americans are insanely polite & upbeat.

American chocolate is the most disgusting stuff I have ever tasted and is a borderline crime against humanity.

American PizzaHut is amazing, you can buy a single slice for a dollar. How hasn’t this brilliance caught on in Europe.

American payment procedure is nonsense. First I have to pay the quoted price then I have to pay tax on top of that and then I have to pay a tip and I stress, have to regardless of service.

America is ‘ight. I didn’t get shot once!

Good move, you’re not missing anything in Florida. I didn’t think I would like TX...I loved it, went to Formula 1 in 2013 and stayed in Austin. I also did my fair share of drinking and had a blast.

Tipping is a funny thing, I got some of the strangest faces when I left tips in UK/Holland. The US is just now catching up to credit card tech that the rest of the world has had for the past 15 years, its crazy.

The UK where more often than not tipping is banned. Now that I think about it, all the pizza we ate was in Hoboken. In New York itself we mainly dined at Bistros.

Florida was nice, everyone was nice, I was called crazy for wearing shorts when it was 77 degrees out. There was a bit of a begging problem. Over here no one ever asks if you have any spare change but I got it everywhere in Florida.

I loved it mostly. Kennedy Space Center was the highlight for me. I’m definitely going to go back. Sadly I can’t afford to go back every year. I’m going to Spain this year instead, the climate is somewhat similar to Florida

I apparently don’t like the SE part of the US or much of the NE. Mind you, I’m from the west coast. I wonder if I should bother getting the rest of them. I do not count airport transfers, otherwise I could add PA and NJ.

Canadian Provinces. Missed QB by literally feet, but I didn’t want to cross illegally, don’t know French, and didn’t have a solid plan for poutine acquisition.

These are the ones I remember for sure. May have visited Nebraska back when I used to travel all over for work right out of college. And Possily South Carolina camping and hiking in college, I know we were close. And as a kid we drove from New Jersey to Boston, dont remember if we hit CT/RI on the way.

Grew up right near the BC/Alberta/Montana border, New England is a hell of a trip. Went to Disneyworld and had a layover in Texas so I counted that. Drove to Vegas, relatives live in Manitoba so lots of trips into the Dakotas. And the east coast in on my bucket list!

Last I heard, he not only had Oppo blocked at work at his new place, but between that and some family complications, he got out of the habit of being here, and once you’ve broken a habit... That, and he was trying to arrange a car import with duurtlang right before he got overwhelmed which didn’t end up happening, so there might be avoidance involved with that? I’m really not sure.
